Here is a list of things I have done before today:

1. Drastically reduced time on public transport by making friends with a wonderful individual who happens to have a car and be in all my classes.
2. Fallen way behind in college but didn't really care much and bluffed my way through all the exams. (We'll see how that strategy worked out on Feb 2nd)
3. Been humiliated by French in many many ways. My blog posts that my IRL friends see usually contain a segment devoted to how French has wronged me that particular week and my LJ shall be getting them soon as I go back to college on monday =D. I'm told they're rather humerous.
4. Lost about a stone and a half. Went down about 2 jean sizes. I quite like this fact and intend to continue.
5. Made some very wonderful college friends.
6. Accientally became infatuated with someone to the point where I scared myself, pretty sure I'm over it but whatevs, I was creepy!
7. Restricted my use of bebo and youtube to improve myself as a person and alt the downward spiral of unproductivity.
8. Saw Twilight 4 times. Yes I am a complete fangirl. No I do not think being obsessed with fictional characters is unhealthy.
9. Ran home in the rain.

Here is a list of things I did today:
1. Listened to Steven Fry read a Harry Potter book. (Thank you Utorrent!)
2. Played Halo3 with the bro.
3. Did a crossword (hey, I've been off college for 2 months, I run out of stuff to do!)
4. Started some of my reading lists for semester 2.
5. Found some REALLY old photos of friends, very amusing.
6. Ended up on live journal catching up with all you guys on the flist. You are all lovely and I hope you're well =]

Here is a list of things I hope to do in the near future:
1. Become an adequate student again.
2. Continue getting smaller.
3. Write more.

1.Commuting is a bad thing. It eats up alot of time and personally I find it drasticly affects my mental state. I spend alot of time wishing death upon people while I'm on buses. It doesnt help that I've misplaced my MP3 and am now forced to listen to arrogant phone conversations and drunks for up to 3 hours a day. The extra frustrating thing is that all this hatred could be avoided if Dublin Bus would cop on and give me a logical bus route. It could take 25 minutes!! It could be so simple!! DAMN THE 17!!

1a. Old ladies who feel compelled to chat on or near buses are the bane of my life at the moment. Small talk is irritating! Also, if the bus had already come, why would I still be standing here!?! Shut up elderly bus ladies, commuting is crap enough without you all up in my face.

2. College is sometimes enjoyable. The new friend thing is fun, though topic cards would be useful when the awkward silences kick in.

3. Although the college experience is alright, the work is enough to fry one's brain. I wouldn't find it so hard if they told me what I needed to learn. It's too vague "here's a lecure, here's a reference book. On your way now". I need some Specific Learning Outcomes! WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME UCD?!?!

4. Famous people need to stop dying/being critically injured. Well the ones I like anyway. Miley Cyrus on the other hand... Take her instead of Travis!!

5. Katy Perry needs to go die in a hole. I swear to god she is a talentless wench.

6. Google Calendar where have you been all my life?? It's so amazing!! It's telling me it's time to do my french assignment now.

Cos he had my college offer. I got into University College Dublin. Arts degree so I still don't know if I can do the subjects I want. It was my 3rd choice. There's a slim chance I may get offered Trinity in round 2 offers (I only missed it by 15 points!! Ahh!) but I'm not counting on it. So for the moment it's UCD here I come! I've been to the campus a couple of times before and it takes AAAAAGES to get there. Ah well. As long as I can do English and French I'll be happy. After the offers came out I was a bit worried cos everyone I talked to was going somewhere else and I thought I was gonna be a UCD loner but I just found out my bestest bud in the whole world got in there too so I'm happy!

I am sick today. It's not very nice.

Went into town yesterday, bought some posters and more Japanese horror ^^. Made a new friend, It's always lovely when you click with someone.

One of my friends, who can only be described as a drama nerd, asked me to go to one of her plays this friday. AGAIN. She plays "Clifftina, a half-woman-half-cliff who is very unlucky in love". I'm like ".....what?" 1st of all that's just ridiculous and secondly if you're a half-woman-half-cliff you can hardly expect to be lucky in love. YOU'RE A CLIFF!

I would like to go to college now.

I have a 57638 page form to fill out now which might get me a higher education grant.

And you can all breath a sigh of relief cos I didn't do abismally.

Irish: A1 (boo yeah! Táim ró-cool like)

English: B1 (meh)

Maths: C2 (This was my lowest but i'm probably most pleased with it cos honours maths is bitch hard)

French: B3 (Foux de fa fa)

Biology: A2 (I think I shoulda got an A1 but whateva!)

Economics: B2 (*shock*)

Home Ec: B1 (Quite pleased, my teacher was awful)

LCVP: Distinction (don't ask me what this subject is, i do not know)

So that means I got 485 points (out of a possible 600) which means I probably won't get into Trinity to do English and french. Damn. But I'll probably be able to do them in UCD. I'll find out monday. *waits*

As we say in Dublin, I. AM. BRICKING. IT. ie, I am defecating masonry.

I'm scared.

The Olympics offer some distraction from my impending doom, they are so addictive! And I don't even like sport. Ireland came 4th in canooing... woo.

There's a news report on about Leaving Cert results. eep. 68,000 applicants 40,000 college places. What an un -reasuring statistic. Thanks TV3 news... Ugh the rest of it was about not getting raped while out celebrating. Thanks again TV3 I'll take that on board.

I did alot of commenting before this. I'm proud of me.

So I just got back from a wee trip to Wales, my second favourite place in the world. It was good fun but oh my god the rain! I thought I'd never be dry again! Six of us went to the rollercoaster park Oakwood for the day. Rollercoasters in the lashing rain are hilarious. Twas brilliant. Ferry on the way back was awful. I felt like I was in that film A Perfect Storm. Everyone was getting sick and then some kid came and slipped in it! EWWWWW. Poor kid. Since the ferry port is like 3 hours away from where we live we stayed the night in my friend's uncles holiday house near the port. It was SO fancy! There was a piano like!! And the back garden went right onto the beach, it was amazing. I didn't want to leave! But I had to come back up to Dublin for my RESULTZ, so here I am =/ all in all an amazingly lovely super fun trip. Oh, and Bullshit is my new favourite card game. Not that I had a favourite card game before.

Oh lordy, another Leaving Cert news report : 5,000 candidates fail maths. Oh dear oh dear most of the colleges don't let you in if you fail maths. And maths is my worst subject. I'm certain I failed. Oh dear oh dear oh dear. I'm stressing!!!!!! ahhhhhh!

10.Book the Alton Towers trip.

12.Get better at driving.

I'm in the garden because it's sunny! And that never happens in Ireland!

I don't know why I haven't posted anything in a while. I just haven't. I was outside.

This is what happened at Oxegen:

My tent got jumped on in the middle of the night and I got a fat lip! =O Yes we just happened to pick THE WORST CAMPSITE EVER. The scum of the Earth inhabited this place. We were surrounded by people from Limerick (a county in Ireland). In Ireland, Limerick is affectionatly known as "Stab City". I took this to be an unfair stereotype but now I know it's very fair indeed. So there we were in the Limerick Ghetto and next thing we know our tents were slashed and robbed and burned, not to mention peed on. Campsites are scary and I'm never going to Limerick. Please share your bad camping/music festival experiences, they're fun to tell!

The actual music festival was amazing though! Everyone was brilliant, even Sugababes lol. And I got onto the Oxegen website and numerous newspapers with this ). Spot Ash! I'm beside that guy's Rasta hat ^^

Also, we got to wear wellies!! >< woop )

And I got sunburned after like 3 seconds of sun!

This is what happened after Oxegen:
My parents went away for 2 weeks so I had a fair few parties and decided I rather like living alone. I hope to do it on a more permenant basis soon. The house was so much cleaner without them to mess it up.

Then they came back and I learned to drive. It's awesome.

This is what will happen in 2 weeks:
LEAVING CERT RESULTS! eep.

I'm gonna go comment on as much as I can now. K bye! >

This photo makes me laugh )Summer '05! I miss it. and them <3... Jealous of Amy's HIM shirt 0.o

So.... He's such a woman. I'll stop talking about him now. Promise.

1. I have no job STILL so I'm going on another application binge tomorrow in town while shopping for wellies and sleeping bags [I'll tell you why later, oooh suspense]

2. Because I'm unemployed I'm horribly bored. I've flown through the books I intended to read in the next few weeks so I've decided to pace myself on them. Plus I need a break from the Ring series cos they're scaring the crap out of me lol. They're too good! I was right in assuming they're more interesting than the films, the yoke from the well is a hermaphrodite o.0
INSTEAD of reading and being online [I'm limiting myself to 2 hours a day] I'm gonna do more productive things. A)Something that involves glueing things to other things, cos it's fun. B) My nan just gave me an insanely good sewing machine so I'm going to make stuff with that. C)I want to become a Vlogger on youtube! I could totally be the next Charlieissocoollike lmao. If I everget up the guts to do it I shall link you =D. If these things fail to keep me entertined I'll have to take up the piano again! Check my mad music skills )Ah Skipping Irish class in the piano room. Good times. I even miss the horrific uniform!

3. (This is the best one) I'm going to Oxegen on friday!! It's on for 3 days in a MASSIVE field in Kildare and I'm camping there so thats whats the wellies and sleeping bags are for. I'm SUPER excited cos pretty much my whole group of friends is going so it'll be like a reunion since we haven't all been together since school =D. But that's not the best part! The music!! I get to see: RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE!! whaaaa! Thats gonna be mental. ALSO The Prodigy, and all these amazing people ---> http://www.oxegen.ie/2008/lineup Panic! at the Disco!!!

Yeah, I'm a bit excited.

A quick update and then a short rant I think.

18th Party was O.K. Me and my friend arrived unfashionably early, don't ya hate it when you're the first person at a party? I left early cos I was wrecked and wasn't in a party mood. One of my friends was extra tipsy and he ended up dancing with the birthday girl's drunken middle aged aunt. It was THE GREATEST THING I'VE EVER SEEN. I was literally crying with laughter.

Party Pics! )

Yesterday I went to a gig cos two of my friends' bands were playing (Prowler and Khoffie). It was the worst venue I've ever been to! It was a tiny dark bar called "Oil Can Harry's" lol. There wasn't even a stage! They played amazingly tho. Felt a bit sorry for all the other bands cos the "crowd" (20 of our group of friends) left straight after Khoffie played so only Oil Can Harry got to hear the rest of them hehe.

Today is a good day, I think, to contemplate freedom of speech. Political Correctness has gone a bit mad. I'm sick of pussy footing around and not being able to say what I think! Even in unimportant things, like I can't express an opinion about someone without it being classified as "bitching". I'm not a bitchy person, I don't talk about people just to be nasty or just for the sake of it but if I have an opinion I would like to say what I feel without being told "oooh you can't say that, So and so will think this and then tell this person and then this will happen" Blah! I'm allowed to say what I'm thinking!

On another note, my obsession with Japanese culture has been getting worse. I was reading stories about Yūrei (Japanese Ghosts) and they are crazy interesting. Especially Onryō (ie, Samara from The Ring type ghosts). I really wanna read the Ring Trilogy by Koji Suzuki cos they sound even better than the films.

Today was very literature orientated. I went to the library (to return some 3 week late books), picked up a book of Sylvia Plath's poetry and turned round to bump into my old English teacher! She's pretty much the one who sparked my interest in poetry so she's great (but a bit scary). So that was good. My friend Ryan will be jealous cos he loves her hehe. I also applied for jobs in about 53768 places so I am exhausted. Great news! As soon as Ash decides to seel employment, Ireland goes into recession!! Thanks Economy, thats just real helpfull.

Today is a good day, I think, for a short rant:

Here's a tip: Don't go to see Teeth with a date. It's leg crossingly horrific. Vagina Dentata is not as funny a subject as we thought it would be. Its just disturbing. And graphic. Oh so graphic *shudder*

Here's another tip (for guys): When going to the cinema (even to see teeth) DO NOT GET NACHOS! No matter how tempting, just don't do it. Or at least get some mints too lol

And what is with the constant hand holding?? Maybe I'm not so keen on PDAs, I don't mind a bit but all the time?? Why? Is it some territorial thing? lol I need my hand, it's useful.

I'm happy cos I gave up on HMV ordering in the Jack's Mannequin CD I've been houding them for and just downloaded it. How illegal of me O.o but now I don't have to go on youtube to hear them =) I'm a bit obsessed with Andrew McMahon.
Hero )

I'm off to an 18th party now, there's an unreal amount of people going from what I've heard. So it should make for somewhat interesting pictures next post.

Also, I'm reading Sovay by Celia Rees. It's about Revolution and Highwaymen. I recommend =]

1) Look at the list and bold those you have read.
2) Italicize those you intend to read.
3) Underline the books you LOVE.
4) Reprint this list in your own LJ so we can try and track down these people who've read 6 and force books upon them ;-)
